Join us for the Annual Pennsylvania Championship Snowshoe Race at Spring Mount Ski Area. This year's event is shaping up to the best ever! We have a great course, a great cause, and a great after-party!
Registration begins at 7 am. The race begins at 8 am sharp! The Snowshoe 5k is great for everyone. Bring your own snowshoes or rent a pair from us for just $15 (while supplies last). After the race, we'll have some great eats and treats including our famous hot rum cider!

We challenge YOU to spend 500 minutes outside during the month of January! Get outside by taking a hike, joining our education team for an Owl Prowl, exploring one of the Conservancy's tree plantings in a local park, or engaging in your favorite outdoor winter hobby.
With various challenges to complete along with some expert-led events, we are here to help you get outside and explore while meeting your own personal goals in 2025!

Earn Wilderness First Aid certification through the Red Cross. The Wilderness First Aid course is specifically designed to prepare you to act and care for emergencies that occur off the beaten path. This course is perfect for scout leaders, camp counselors, and outdoor enthusiasts. If you find yourself outdoors and in charge of a group, then you need to take this course.
The Wilderness First Aid course is 16 hours in length and is taught over two consecutive days. Participants must attend both days in order to earn this 2-year certification. CPR/AED training and certification will be provided.
Learning Objectives Include:
Advanced Assessment and Evacuation Procedures
Head, Chest, Bone and Joint Injuries
Abdominal Emergencies
Allergic Reactions
Cold and Heat Emergencies
Shock and Heart Attacks
Controlling Bleeding
Submersion Emergencies
Altitude and Lightning Injuries
Other First Aid Necessities

PWCC Monthly Meeting
Description:
PWCC members attend monthly meetings to discuss and learn more about the conservation projects and community events they participate in. Monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month beginning in January and ending in June. The meetings are held from 6:30 pm - 7: 30 pm at the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy Headquarters.

About Perkiomen Watershed Youth Conservation Corps
The Perkiomen Watershed Conservation Corps (PWCC) program is a youth-based program dedicated to furthering the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy’s mission of protecting the watershed’s land and water resources. Members help achieve this mission while cultivating their own conservation and community engagement skills through the participation in hands-on service learning opportunities.
The PWCC program cycle is six months, running from January - June each year.

The Perki-500 Challenge is here! We invite you to join us for a winter evening walk along the Perki. We will meet at the Conservancy's headquarters, 1 W Skippack Pike, Schwenksville PA 19473, at 6:00 pm for a short hike along the Perkiomen Trail. Dress warm with sturdy shoes, and bring a headlamp or flashlight!
