Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy Summer Science 2021- COVID-19 Guidelines & Procedures

  • Sessions will be structured and staffed to keep groups small. The large group will be broken into smaller groups with no more than six campers.

  • Parents will be required to fill out a health & emergency contact form and waiver for each attendee.

  • Daily health screening (performed by/with parent) to check temperature and potential exposure to COVID-19 will be performed at drop-off.

  • Drop-off will begin 15 minutes prior to scheduled time of program. Parents will be met in the parking lot by an educator for screening. Any child found to have a temperature over 100.4 will not be able to attend that day.

  • Staff will wear face masks at all times. Students will be required to wear face masks when indoors and for outdoor activities when they will be less than 6 feet away from other students.

  • Time outdoors will be maximized. The majority of the programs will be held outdoors, even in light rain. If heavy rain or high water (for creek programs) is predicted, we will use the advertised rain date. In the event of a pop-up thunderstorm or heavy rain shower, we will move indoors for only as long as necessary for safety. A limited number of small group activities may be held indoors with proper safety precautions in place.

  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available and hand washing breaks will be built into our daily schedule.

  • Students will bring a beach towel and have a socially distanced "personal space" for breaks, snacks & lunch.
