Description: An attractive warm season bunch grass that features unique flowers and seedheads that dangle from thin green foliage. Purplish flowers with orange stamens are produced in mid-summer, followed by tan seedheads. Seeds are eaten by a variety of bird species. Drought tolerant once established. Does not tolerate shade.
