Description: An attractive native sunflower that tolerates some shade! This perennial offers large, yellow flowers in mid to late summer atop green, toothed foliage. Highly attractive to a range of pollinators and birds. Spreads via rhizomes and reseeding. Thrives in moist, but well drained partly shaded sites and in dappled shade in average soil moisture. Does not tolerate extended periods of drought well. Try this beautiful plant in a shaded rain garden!
